[文化大不同]Oscar Film Festival观赏记-Good night & good luck

有时候，不得不向好莱坞的好演员和好制作人salute 。George Clooney 就是一个。由他导演和主演的《Good night & Good luck》就是部好电影和制作。虽然这黑白电影输了给《断背山》，但我会更喜欢这黑白片。

这戏是部人物传记式的类纪录片电影。故事是说美国CBS电视台的一个时事节目的主持人Edward R Murrow和制作单位(George Clooney饰演)如何对抗社会上的不公正，尤其是其中一位超右的政治人物-Joe McCarthy 。在那冷战的50年代，同情和认同共产党（可能是社会主义）的人就是不爱国的表现。McCarthy的似是而非的逻辑和无证据的指控，都为那时的美国带来苦难。

历史是多么的相似。看看现在的反恐（反伊斯兰教？），也是充满了谎言和反智的行为。也许世人是善忘还是未吸取教训，而让错误重复？然而，无论如何，民主的西方社会还是会有反省的一天和良知的存在。

看完这片，会想起本地一群认识的时事节目制作人和主持人，还有他们最近挑起有关华小校长贪污的事件。相对于今天的美国媒体界和马来西亚这相对无份量的华语新闻界，希望Edward Murrow 的新闻从业员的道德勇气和专业在这片来出的主要讯息，为大家鼓舞下，继续奋斗。何时，大马的巫英语的时事节目才能跟上步伐？还有就是像那恐龙时代Joe McCathrthy式的政治人物，何时可以从马来西亚政坛消失？
