The protest is toward SRC (so called Student Representative Council)'s CCIP (Cross Cultural Integration Programme) who love to organise event to break record. The most recent one is the longest kebab ! I understand that is this action is initiate by a group of multi-ethnic students who strongly against it. For CNYE5, the purpose of the record-breaking activities served as supporting role to promote the main event.
but for the kebab and etc where the sole objective is to break record not matter the resource, money and etc, which totally meaningless
the one im saying is not CNYE la kawan~
btw any meaningless record breaking is still MEANINGLESS activity no matter how ok? unless while promoting the MAIN event, it is bringing benefits to the society at the same time.
in short:对社会没有丁点贡献的事做了等于浪费资源，更反映出主办者的肤浅。
