Sam Hui said:”Strange but true, I felt like losing someone dear.”
James Wong said:” A Chinese Muslim with a burning sense of justice for all, Omar Tan had contributed the last few years of his life as an active citizen to the historic Reformasi.”
Out of sudden, what happen in the past 10 years flash back in my mind …
1998: Dato Seri Anwar was sacked as DPM, Refomasi; I was sent back by Police after I walked out form SOGO with Onion Yong.
1999: General Election 10;
2000: Elected as CLS president
2001: Active in campus democracy and campus politics; active in IVC
2002: Active in DEMA; Get injured.
2003: Start working officially
2004: Campaigned for Tian Chua at Batu during GE11. Know Ah Tan.
2005: Do nothing for progressive movement; start blogging
2006: Still do nothing for progressive movement and elected as KL-Selangor Chinese Assembly Youth Committee Member
2007: GE12 ???
Dear Ah Tan, we all would miss you and keep your spirits burning in the young generation. May you rest in peace.
